My new free homeland

 

A new Syria, and a free one.

 2024-12-11 

It's been three days since the collapse of Al-Assad regime and the announcement of a free Syria.

With this date and declaration come a new promise and a more significant new responsibility.

As Syrian citizens living in the country and surviving an outstanding amount of suffering, we've been giving a vital doze of hope and energy. We're not only thrilled, but also impatient, though the correct meaning of it.

Speaking from my own perspective and knowing that the majority of Syrians are experiencing the same emotions. Our spirit is incontainable, and our minds and souls are crowded with positiveness, power, and exuberance.

We want to work, to do anything in the name of a new Syria, a strong, free, modern, democratic, and civilised country.

The people of this country are and have always been free, brave, honest and good. But sadly we've been taken, suppressed, powerless, subjected to unbelievably crule life conditions, occupied, and left in the death's road.

However, all of the above has changed, disappeared, and we can feel it no more. Only, it will live on in our memory as reminder to never let it happen once more.

Whatever dreams we were long convinced of as mere myth that can never come to light in such an autocratic, dictatorial, and sadist rule. We now see them achievable. With effort and order, we can truly reach the stars, still we first have to build the stairs, trusting that we have the will for it.

Stone by stone we are going to rebuild our beloved our home.

Drop by drop we are going to water our land with our sweat not with blood. There is no need for blood shed any longer in a peaceful, free, ever lasting era, our blood will be kept in our vains to give us the strength and life we deserve, and the blood which has been spilt along with the mortal martyrs who offered it for this cause and for this day will be cherished for all eternity, and it will be dear beyond measure.

Hand by hand we are going to help in the rebirth of a mighty Syria which will be a beacon of peace, prosperity, light, and beauty in every single definition of it.

To the eyes watching in doubt, enjoy and be fascinated.
